Medical Legal Services
The Medical Services Group is dedicated to providing institutions and individual health care providers with thorough, cost-effective, and successful representation in civil suits, administrative hearings, and criminal proceedings. Cumulatively, this group's lawyers have over 75 years trial experience. They have represented health care providers in federal and state courts throughout New England.
Members of the group are involved in national and regional professional associations, such as the Defense Research Institute's Medical Malpractice Committee. The group receives national publications such as the Medical Liability Reporter to stay current on legal and medical issues involved in this specialized practice. Computers allow the group to effectively manage documents and track both favorable and unfavorable evidence through a case's development. Attorneys in the group have been recognized by their peers and selected as lecturers at seminars relating to medical malpractice, nursing and hospital liability, wrongful death, and trial practice. They have also been chosen for membership in The Best Lawyers in America and American Board of Trial Advocates.
The group meets bi-weekly in a round table format, to review cases and share information about medical experts, recent literature, and litigation strategy. The group has a databank listing more than 1,100 medical experts, and materials reflecting their specialties, to assist in defending claims.
Our clients are professionally diverse and sophisticated, and include health maintenance organizations, individual medical and dental specialists, hospitals, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation hospitals, medical laboratories, outpatient clinics, and psychiatric facilities.
"The NK+M attorney knew the case cold. He extensively reveiwed all the material involved in the case. He understood it and had instant recall of all the data. He explained to me the whys and hows of the legal process, exactly what he was going after and staying away from, and made me very confident in his ability to represent me."
