Heidi has practiced intellectual property law for over 20 years, with an emphasis on copyright and trademark protection. Her practice spans the breadth of intellectual property matters, including licensing arrangements, domestic and foreign registration via the national protection or the Madrid Protocol, trademark screenings, domain name, and related Internet and privacy issues. Heidi's deep and varied experience help guide her clients' business decisions with respect to both registering for protection, and enforcing rights when infringement occurs.

Heidi specializes in technology contracts from both vendor and user perspectives, including software, multimedia, trade secret, and patent licensing agreements. Her client list ranges from large technology firms to family-owned businesses, from authors and illustrators to publishers, from sports figures to entertainment businesses, and from domestic to foreign manufacturers. She maintains a network of foreign associates who provide in-country expertise in the leading markets of the world. She is registered to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts.

Heidi is a two-term Hearing Committee Member of the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers. A recent ex-runner, she now has time to enjoy cooking and traveling with her family and raising golden retrievers.
