Pete heads the firm's medical malpractice group. His litigation experience covers almost 30 years - initially as an Assistant Attorney General prosecuting homicide and white-collar defendants and, for the last 20 years, advising and defending institutional and individual health care providers and health maintenance organizations accused of professional misconduct and negligence and in licensing, administrative and criminal proceedings.

He has represented clients in all New England states and has had extensive experience in defamation cases, commercial litigation, products liability, and in counseling educational institutions.

Pete is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in America. Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only, to those experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility, and collegiality.

Pete has also been selected for membership in The Best Lawyers in America continuously since 1999, is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell, and is listed in Chambers and Partners Guide to America's Leading Business Lawyers, which describes him as "tough and smart" and "one of the hardest working and most experienced trial lawyers in the state."
