Bob leads the Non-Profit Organizations practice group at Nelson Kinder Mosseau & Saturley in Boston, Massachusetts and Manchester, New Hampshire. He specializes in the defense of claims against colleges and universities, and counsels nonprofits and charitable institutions and organizations concerning complex issues such as institutional governance, regulatory compliance, and ethics issues. Bob served for fourteen years as Associate General Counsel for Boston University, the nation's fourth largest independent university.

Bob has won numerous trials in State and Federal courts involving claims of employment discrimination, disability discrimination, student affairs, academic freedom, breach of contract issues, and tort claims. Bob has also conducted internal investigations, and defended clients during regulatory agency and other investigations.

In law school, Bob was a member of the Syracuse University College of Law Law Review and the National Moot Court Team at Syracuse University College of Law.

Bob frequently presents at national and regional education and law conferences. He regularly appears on national webcasts in this area of the law, and contributes articles to various publications on issues in higher education, risk management, and trial strategy.
